ActiveSync Implementation Requirement

Please Note:

  • Be sure you have a complete back up of your contacts/calendars before synchronizing the first time. You can consult your device’s manual for instructions on how to back up your device.

  • The initial sync with our ActiveSync server will be a one way sync from the server to the device! After the initial syncronization, the sync will become two way.

  1. On the Android home screen, select the Application button to bring up the list of installed applications on the phone



  2. Select Settings



  3. Scroll down to the Accounts section and select Add Account



  4. Select Corporate



  5. In the Email Address field, enter the email address for your account
  6. In the Password field, enter the password for your account
  7. Select Next



  8. Select Exchange



  9. On the Account Setuppage, fill in the following fields:
    • Username: Enter your MDaemon email address
    • Password: Enter your password
    • Server: Make sure the information listed is the hostname for your mail server domain name
    • Port Choose port 443 for HTTPS connections
    • Select Security type (SSL/TLS for HTTPS connections)
    • Select Next when finished



  10. Within the Inbox checking frequency drop-down menu, leave it as Automatic for Push email or set it to desired polling interval
  11. Within the Days to sync drop-down menu, set it to the desired number of days to sync back for email



  12. Choose the features you would like synced to the device along with enabling email notifications and automatically downloading attachments via Wi-Fi
  13. Select Next



  14. Name the account as desired (example: icttech.net) and select Next
